I came across myself again.
There she was caught up with the flow of life, where she has to think about the books she was to sell or the businesses she has to help.
I came across her today. She finally stopped working. She finally just laid down and said, “I need to be here for me now. I need to be present for myself.”
I found her asking herself what she wants out of this life. I found her thinking deeply about what living really means. How she got here. And what is the point of it all.
I’ve always been a workaholic. I think it’s genetic. And ironically, I find myself procrastinating on the things God has for me. I find myself procrastinating on what matters most. On what we all live for and would die for. On the reason why I stand before you today as a living instrument of His grace alone.
I’ve put off this 4-letter word for sometime. Yet, it is He that has continually brought it up time and time again. It is He who knows what’s best for me.
And in the effort of making it make sense, self, I hope you finally realize that there is a world outside work. And that living means loving.
