I got off a call. At the back of my head, during the whole time, I realize how I was not ready for what I experienced.
I get into a whirlwind of thoughts. The perfectionist in me wants to dwell in self-blaming. I could’ve done something different had I known. I could’ve done better.
I wanted to make excuses. I’m still new at this. There’s a learning curve.
But, I have high standards even just for me.
Then, the Word rang a bell. “Grace”. “Give grace to yourself.”
Most of you know I can be so hard on myself on things. I am such a high achiever to the point of becoming a perfectionist. In most aspects. But, most especially in my endeavors.
But, this God. This God reminds me that although perfection is attainable- although perfection is the goal, the process is as important.
There will always be a learning curve in everything. Everyone starts at the amateur level. And it’s okay to not be perfect right away.
Grace. You can rest in His grace. For when you are weak, He is strong.
Grace. Rest in His grace. Not because you deserve it, but because He deserves the glory.
Rest in His grace.
