Make-up off
Wipe the stains of today
Do you see yourself?
Tell me,
What do you see?
Do you like her?
Make-up off
Naked, almost naked
Without the layers,
Do you like yourself?
Can you accept yourself?
I’m bare naked
I’ve learn to accept
–That there are things bigger
Bigger than what I put on
There are things bigger
–Than what one looks like
What one may appear like
There are things bigger
–Than what you see
So quick to judge, aren’t you?
Yet who am I to even judge you?
What you see may not even be true
–Nor what you hear
Or what they all say
Swayed to think a certain way
Again, who am I to judge?
To love yourself in the process
–Even the parts that are unloveable
That’s how you emanate Christ to yourself
To give grace to yourself
And to let Him change you, nonetheless
To live for Him in the process
Live in the bask of His acceptance
