After a long day, after write-ups and workouts, I browse through my feed. Opinions from very opinionated people pop up. Different perspectives trying to set the normative. Different voices trying to make themselves heard– some not for themselves. But, they are noisy nonetheless.
In the midst of it all, I am here finding myself looking for You. Where are You, Lord? What do You have to say?
There is always the right thing and the wrong one. People fighting for what is right, others getting away with the wrong. It is God who judges.
In the midst of it all, I ask myself if being opinionated or having a say is enough.
Convictions and debates. Standing for what one believes in. All can be very vain, isn’t it?
In the midst of it all, with all the but’s and maybe’s, may we choose to honor God above all.
To love God and to love people; being opinionated is not enough.
To love God and to love people means being standard bearers– to uphold God’s standards, to be an epitome of His original design for humanity.
To love God and to love people means hating sin and what it does to the world around you.
To love God and to love people means to be holy– by His grace alone
To love God and to love people means daily sacrifice for the greater, grander good.
To love God and to love people means unwavering obedience to His commandments– only by His grace.
Being opinionated is not enough. It was never enough.
