It’s around 3 in the afternoon and I get my Bible to read. One part of me wishes to hear a personal Word from the Lord. A part of me desires that the Lord would just speak to me plainly. About anything or anyone. As long as it was from His heart. As long as He cares about it.

The Philippines has always been my baby. Aside from God, my family, and loved ones, it is the Philippines that I love. I love the people, the culture, the morals, and everything in between. I believe in the capacity of the Filipino people. And it is the gold that is their hearts that has shown me that they are worth fighting for.

Haggai 2:8-9 “8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, declares the Lord of hosts. 9The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts. And in this place I will give peace, declares the Lord of hosts.’”

I came about these verses during my quiet time. And I believe that it is a legitimate Word for the Philippines. The Lord wills wealth and prosperity for the Philippines. The Lord wills glory for the Philippines. Because He loves the Philippines. Even more than I do.

Even if it doesn’t seem like it, may we speak blessings over our land. Not curses. May we mirror God’s heart over the Philippines. Over the nation that He loves. We may choose to cooperate with God. Even through participating, we can bring heaven down on earth.
