Is it just me or actions speak louder than words?
Without actions, words can just be that- words
But the problem is: without words, actions can be misinterpreted most of the time

Both, on its own, can be so profoundly meaningless
Both, on its own, can be so incredibly useless
How can we turn things around?

I’ve been a victim of such countless misinterpretations
‘Been labeled as assuming, exaggerating, and even delusional one time

But, who could blame me?
Some guys act one way, then say another
Some say things they don’t even really mean
Nor can back it up rightly

I don’t know if they were just being mean or downright clueless
And it’s the trust that has been broken
Men are just human, I guess-
Still can be twisted,
Misconstrue reality, as they please
I have witnessed that first hand
I have been a victim of such ugly ugly cruelty

And it’s the heart that should be protected, nonetheless

Not really in me to take these against you, but
How different are you from them?
