You see, for a person who sings a lot, one can truly attest to the influence of music in my life. When I’m happy, I sing. When I’m weary, I sing. When my thoughts run wild and I’m in need of an outlet, I sing. When my emotions are just too complicated for one to handle or comprehend, I sing.

I always have a song.

So, one can just imagine how this line has managed to truly captivate me. Its rarity in my life can be grasped. Hence, its impact can also be perceived to go beyond the common.

Ultimately, the science behind its validity enabled me to not just plainly embrace it as it is but later on, to further probe into the mechanics of its mystery.

But initially, if there’s one thing constant in such the pattern, it’s the overwhelming sensation that goes beyond a physical state. In those few rare moments when I just can’t seem to find the words after “Dear Lord,” and plainly acknowledge His presence without uttering a single worship line, a single phrase or a single word, do I acknowledge how genuinely tired I am.

In those moments, does it dawn on me the innermost struggles and meditations of my heart. It is also in those moments when I get to truly sympathize with every believer who has dedicated their lives upon serving the living God.
