Dear Liberals, I’m Not Mad At You

Such a statement—such these statements associated with conservatism

And I feel sick—sick not because of the commentator’s connotations but of the doers in motion which makes you hate us.

In this special and rare occasion promoting self-expression, I tell you now:

Dear liberals, I’m not mad at you.

You rally for gender equality—that men and women should have equal rights

And I rally for the same cause

Sorry for the collective lack of applause

But believe me when I tell you that God is not partial.

That to Him officers are not subordinate to marshals

And gender gaps are not denoted by gender roles

Gender roles. You heard that right, I believe in gender roles

For God made both man and woman in His image to fulfill His call

And submitting to thy husband doesn’t necessarily mean you’re inferior

—for woman, you are not.

I repeat it again: Woman, you are not.

You are not the shadow of your man, you are the missing rib

Without you, his life would be full of what ifs

Woman, you are loved and you were meant to be loved by the author of love

You are meant to be pursued

For Christ left His throne to experience the ultimate gloom

In order to save you from the ultimate doom

Because to Him you are worth it.

So please, chin up, back straight and look to me straight

This is not to encourage you to behave

In a manner less or more than you are called to.

And for the men, you are called to lead.

To represent God in the battlefield

To show how Christ gave His life up for yours

That you may finally be His voice

Yes, you’re entitled. Oh yes, you’re entitled

But know that it’s not an advantage—be subtle,

There shouldn’t even be a competition here

After all, it’s God’s unity and harmony we should proclaim still.

So please live up to your calling

Know that it was never just about us

— but about His love that’s never failing

For the LGBTQs, I haven’t forgotten about you

First of all, I’m sorry for this world that is so, so cruel

Where individuality is silenced and the collective rule

It wasn’t supposed to be like this

I’m sorry if we didn’t hear you out

We were so afraid to lose our faith and shut you out

You are people too, with loud heartbeats

And my heart-beats for you

Know that amidst our different views

You have my respect and you don’t have to earn it

I give it freely to you because I know that it’s God’s virtue

And it’s His desire to be known by you

In Him, there is no condemnation.. for He looks at you with love

So Love, I’m sorry if we’ve made you misunderstood – we are also at fault.

Dear liberals, I’m not mad at you

Though I might understand why you would think that, too

We’ve focused so much on hate and I hope it’s not too late

To get our thinking straight.

Dear liberals, I’m not mad at you.

And I agree with you

That amidst rejecting change, we should lovingly reason why

Tho believe me, that’s not easy living by

But if Jesus Christ was patient enough to do that to a former bi

Then in not expressing His never-partial love, I would have to ask why?

Dear liberals, God doesn’t hate you

If anything, He is for freedom

I’m sorry if we’ve made you feel any other way.
