A Word for the Philippines

Jeremiah 3:12 (ESV)

“…Return, faithless Israel (people of God), declares the Lord. I will not look on you in anger, for I am merciful, declares the Lord; I will not be angry forever.”

God is calling us to repentance. As a nation, we’ve been unfaithful towards God. We’ve made idols to be our gods and this displeases Him, the One true living God. We may have done unspeakable things– things that have angered His heart. Things that have offended people.

But, it’s not too late to live a changed life. For Him and for others. Nothing’s ever too late with God and through God. He is calling us to repent– from our hearts first then externally.

Exodus 34:14 (NLT)

You must worship no other gods, for the Lord, whose very name is Jealous, is a God who is jealous about his relationship with you.

It’s time to actually face the music– to let God be the only One Who matters. The One we should please. Not for any malicious intention nor unjust gain, but to be alright with God first through Jesus Christ. Then, aim for genuine and real transformation.

We are the nation. We are the Philippines. And the change needs to start internally before it can be exhibited externally.

… And a heart that truly loves God can love the nation properly, appropriately, tangibly.

Love the Lord. Not for any color, not even for mere human advocacies. But because, He has called you. Because He loves you. And He wants to see you change. To become holy as He is holy. Only through Jesus Christ.

He does not want to condemn you, nor add fuel to the fire. He wants your heart– your life laid down before Him in surrender; He wants your devotion.

Love God; He loved you first. And He’s calling you to rise up for the nation by representing Him correctly.

Jeremiah 3:12 (ESV)

“…Return, faithless Israel, declares the Lord. I will not look on you in anger, for I am merciful, declares the Lord; I will not be angry forever.”

This is the Word of the Lord. Praise Him forever.
