People have come and left
Some stayed for awhile
And left very valuable lessons

Trust me,
It does not matter if they like you
– nor does it when they’ve already fallen for you

What matters is if he can fight for you
– fight to get you
To have your best intentions at heart
To even fight you for you
To get through to you

To fight himself- to deny himself
To wage war against the very things in him that can and will hurt you
To give himself up for you
– as Christ gave himself up for the church
Surrendered to Christ first

‘Seems ideal, I know
– normative just the same

So, no
It does not matter if he likes you
– nor does it when he’s already fallen for you

What matters is if he can back what he feels
If his actions can follow what he dictates
If his actions can follow what he says, what he thinks
If he values you enough to pursue

It will not always matter if he likes you
Heck, it will not even always matter if he’s already fallen for you
Learn to accept that
