Mountains, are they hard to climb?
Yet this scenery is hard to find
Difficult? You have no idea
Beyond the time?
Beyond the effort?
It’s the stress that’s beyond measure
Mountains sure are hard to climb
But merely staring at it is worth the time
It’s so beautiful, so sublime
Even my words start to rhyme
But still, mountains are hard to climb
Blood, sweat, tears
My hours are not mine
Myself, I sometimes cannot find
Myself, I often have to deny
Mountains are hard to climb
But these are my mountains, nonetheless
These are the challenges I have to face
This is the path I’ll have to trek
For God
For church
For country
For family
For me
Take the time to look at your mountains for me
Now, what do you see?
How truly beautiful are they, really?
Is it worth it?
It will be worth it
Now, start trekking
