Knew my way around them

Some wanted to listen
Some wanted to watch
Some hearts beat
Some hearts really had beaten for me

In the whirlwind of it all
Throughout the various faces,
I always heed His call

This generation may be a mixture
A mixture of lost people,
People who experiment,
And people who do not know what they want
– who do not know what is good for them

I’m out here chasing after Him
– what He wants and when He wants it
I’m out here busy,
Chasing after everything that He is

In the whirlwind of it all
The trajectory, to go left or right
I always wonder what’s in it for you
Why are you lingering around?

And if chasing after Him together,
Being all we need to be for the kingdom,
And serving God and the nation together
Is enough for you
