Stop
Let’s put a stop to this
I’m not really an advocate of disclaimers
So I’m just gonna say it
Stop
Let’s put a stop to this
Indirect messages
Got me thinking I’m crazy
Is what you put out there about me
Or is this another delusion session
What an illusion
That you might also be thinking about me
When you’re having so much fun with your boys
Not in you to toy around, I see
But aren’t you already toying around with me?
I try to stop the whole charade
Because I know I might not handle
Another disappointment yet again
I know you’ll understand
Why this have to be
I hope you see me
The real me
The one who hopes on her God
But also looks at reality
That you might never really pursue me at all
And that feelings can be fleeting
And falling in love doesn’t have to mean falling apart
This is as illusive as it can get
A false sense of togetherness
Brought about by the control-freak lady
At least, at this point,
I don’t have to put my full weight on a maybe
At least, at this point
I’m not set up for a possible rejection
To halt, pause, or anything similar
To let my heart rest
To love myself in the process
Until then,
Until the right time comes
Along with the right one,
Let’s put a stop to this
And let fate decide
